GA-Based Optimization Method for Mobile Crane Repositioning Route Planning

Mobile cranes have been used extensively as essential equipment at construction sites. The productivity improvement of the mobile crane affects overall project. Hence, various studies conducted regarding operation planning. However, on solving RCP (the repositioning problem) are insufficient. This article presents a reposition route planning optimization method (RPOS) that minimizes total operating time crane. It converts site into mathematical model, determines feasible locations crane, and identifies near-global optimal solution (s) (i.e., placement point sequences crane) by implementing genetic algorithm dijkstra’s algorithm. study is value to practitioners because RPOS provides an easy-to-use computerized tool reduces lengthy computations relative data processing Genetic Algorithms (GAs). Test cases verify validity computational method.
